Rich Angstreich has been roasting for his coffee shop in North Carolina for over 20 years. Having grown tired of uninspiring coffee from large production roasters and coffees that only left him disappointed, he set out to create a coffee suiting his taste while providing the freshest roasted beans for his shop. His approach to the craft produced a coffee that quickly became a local favorite. When his son, Michael started bringing the coffee on travels and sharing with friends they enthusiastically proclaimed it to be some of the best coffee they’d ever had. And so, Deep Canyon Coffee was born.
Deep Canyon is roasted in very small batches and allowed to take the few extra minutes that most other roasting companies don't like to. These minutes let the heat of the roast reach deeper into the beans without over roasting. The result is a smooth, less bitter coffee that reveals the natural sweetness and unique flavor of each bean origin.
Deep Canyon Coffee is a product of careful attention and a commitment to providing our customers with a genuine product. We don't stock a warehouse full of inventory nor do we re-brand coffees from a large supplier. We produce our coffees in our own way, roasted fresh when you order.
