About Deep Canyon

Rich Angstreich has been roasting for his coffee shop in North Carolina for over 20 years. Having grown tired of bad coffee and the gimmicky approaches of other coffee shops, he set out to create a coffee suiting his taste while providing fresh roasted beans for his shop. His approach to the craft produced a coffee that quickly became a local favorite. When his son, Michael started bringing the coffee on travels and sharing with friends they enthusiastically proclaimed it to be some of the best coffee they’d ever had.  And so, Deep Canyon Coffee was born. 

Deep Canyon is roasted in small batches and allowed to take the few extra minutes that most other roasting companies don't like to. These minutes let the heat of the roast reach deeper into the beans without over roasting. The result is a smooth, less bitter coffee that reveals the natural sweetness and flavor of each bean origin.
